Founder & CEO
Martin Poppe
Martin has more than 25 years of international experience in Human Resources, Commercial Management and Executive Search:
Martin has worked in executive search since 2003, with a primary focus on the Consumer & Retail sector. During this time, he has developed a unique and in-depth knowledge of Retail & Consumer at a European level, establishing trusting relationships with numerous people both at different management levels.
His professional career began in Human Resources in the Netherlands. For 10 years he worked mainly in “on- the-job training” and consulting in the healthcare, retail and logistic sector. Later, Martin settled in Spain and was Responsible for Operations and Sales in international logistics projects, before beginning his career in Executive Search. From 2003 to 2017 he has led a multitude of assignments for Retail & Consumer positions at Nexus Executive Search (part of IMD International Search Group) and IHR Consultancy.
Martin has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources from the Saxion Business School in the Netherlands and speaks Dutch, English, German and Spanish.
Founder and Board Member
Anselm Van den Auwelant
Anselm has worked for more than 30 years in management positions in the Retail sector in various countries. During this time, he has developed many people in his teams and with them he has achieved great business successes.
Anselm was President of Fashion & Teens at Alshaya, a retail department in Kuwait. Alshaya Retail franchises 70 of the world’s best-known brands with 2,500 stores operating in 19 countries in the Middle East and North Africa, Russia, Turkey and Europe. From 2003 to 2013 Anselm was CEO and Chairman of the Board of Grupo Cortefiel in Spain, now called Tendam, one of the largest fashion retail companies in Europe. Anselm was also a member of the Board of Directors of JBC Belgium, a major fashion retailer with stores in Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and a member of the Board of Tino Gonzales, one of the largest shoe retailers in Spain. From 2016 to 2019 Anselm has led as Interim Manager the transformation of Maison Degand, the luxury men’s fashion house in Brussels. Anselm is Founder and Board Member of Sedna Executive Search.
Anselm holds a degree in Economics and Finance from the Erasmus Business School in Brussels and speaks French, Flemish, English, Spanish and German.
